 Urban Survival 

An urban survival course is designed to teach individuals the essential skills and knowledge they need to survive in an urban or city environment during an emergency or crisis situation. The course is designed to be hands-on and practical, allowing students to learn by doing and gain the confidence they need to handle any situation that may arise. The course covers a wide range of topics, including:

Risk assessment instruction

1. Finding Food and Water: In an urban survival situation, finding safe food and water can be challenging. The course teaches students how to locate and purify water sources, as well as how to find and identify edible plants and insects.

 

2. Building Shelter: In an emergency situation, having a safe and secure shelter is critical. The course teaches students how to build shelters using natural materials found in urban environments.

 

3. Navigation: In an urban environment, navigating unfamiliar terrain can be challenging. The course teaches students how to use a map and compass, as well as how to navigate using natural landmarks.

 

4. Self-Defense: In a crisis situation, personal safety is of utmost importance. The course teaches students how to defend themselves using hand-to-hand combat techniques and improvised weapons.

 

5. First Aid: Injuries and illnesses can occur at any time, and having basic first aid skills can mean the difference between life and death. The course teaches students how to provide first aid in an urban environment, including treating wounds, burns, and other common injuries.

 

6. Emergency Preparedness: The course teaches students how to create an emergency preparedness plan and pack, including essential items such as food, water, and medical supplies.
